The Hippo and the donkey is the story of a girl with a great need for creativity.
It all started when she was little and played with her friends with dolls. However, she didn’t like the dolls at all! Instead, she preferred to create clothes for the dolls from scraps she found
in her moms workshop and furniture like tables and beds with her dads tools.
As the girl grew up and studied to become a kindergarten teacher, she played with children
on the floor. She became a child again, she laughed with all her soul and loved with all her heart.
But her love for creation didnt stop there; in the afternoons, she was back in her moms
workshop. Her mom taught her what it’s like to love what you create and how an idea can
become something wonderful.
Together, they made all sorts of things from a variety of materials.
The girl grew up and had two sweet little children. Alcyone, whom she called “little hazelnut,” and Theophanes, whom she initially called “little mammoth,” but he’s now been asking to be called a bull-lion-cub and a
panther and a little monkey, and in general, he#39;s 5 years old and hasn’t decided what he
likes best!
The girl, painted a painting for Alcyone
This one..
and a painting for Theophanes
that one
At this point we want to explain why he chose this project. She chose it because she believed the little boy would be very special, and the donkey is an endangered species!
The girl became a woman and a mom, but she never forgot the need to create. She built her mom’s workshop from scratch, filled it with dreams, hope and a lot of creativity.
Now she knew what she wanted to do …. She wanted to create products for children. Like the ones she struggled to find or didn’t satisfy her when her children were little, like
the sleeping bag, or those that her children occasionally ask her to make, like the basket
for the bike. Or, in general, anything that makes her heart beat fast and her mind never stop thinking.
This is her way to share her creativity and love for children with as many people as possible
